Our friends at Family Justice have produced a great video about why families and loved ones are such an important part of a reentrant's success, both in the facility and in his or her community. From a systems perspective, strengthened families help parole and probation officers do their jobs, they save the justice system money on foster care and work supports, and they provide an important support network in urban communities.
