Ex-con Neal Weisner admitted to New York Bar after six years in prison and nine rejections - NYPOST.com

NY Post ran a story today about one Neal Weisner who was recently admitted to practice law in New York despite his criminal record and stint in prison. It was not an easy road.

Formerly incarcerated persons can turn their lives around and become productive members of society. There are too few stories about the men and women who have been able to reform their lives after prison. More needs to be done to remove barriers to employment and education that only serve to make the road to reform as discouraging as possible for ex-offenders.
