On Thursday, March 19th, at 2:00pm (ET), the Council of State Governments will host a free
webinar to help potential applications respond to the
Second Chance Act solicitation. Intended to promote state and local reentry demonstration projects, the Second Chance Act authorizes federal grants to government agencies and community and faith-based organizations to provide employment assistance, substance abuse treatment, housing, family programming, mentoring, victims support, and other services that can help reduce re-offending and violations of probation and parole.
The solicitation requires that the applicant demonstrate the establishment of a Reentry Task Force -- see this
